Want to take the pressure off your BD?
The 3 R’s will help you do exactly that.
We live in the trust economy and people want to know if they’re going to work with you, that you can help them before they engage.
This is why the 3 Rs are very important.
R#1 – Referrals.
Referrals are hands down the easiest way to get new business.
There’s built in credibility, that instant transference of trust from somebody the referee respects straight to you.
Referrals don’t just open doors, they get you higher fees and increase candidate loyalty.
The problem?
Most people leave it to chance, asking for referrals only when they remember.
If you want to take the pressure of your BD, you need a referral rhythm, not random requests. Build it into your week and decide who you will ask and how you’ll ask.
Do that consistently and referrals will become a predictable source of warm business for you.
R#2 – Reviews.
Social proof is your BD amplifier.
Think about it. What’s the first thing a potential client or candidate does when they come across you?
They check out your LInkedIn profile, website and maybe Google too.
They’re looking for proof that you can help them.
So show them.
In fact, over 9 in 10 of your prospects are likely to check testimonials before they engage.
And firms using strong social proof see conversion lifts of up to 270%!
So, if you’re not doing this (and your competitors are) where does that leave you?
Make it easy for people to find that social proof; reviews, testimonials, case studies.
Short, long, written or video – doesn’t matter.
Just start collecting them and get them everywhere your market can see you.
R#3 – Retention.
The easiest way to reduce BD pressure? Keep the clients you’ve already worked so hard to win.
When you deliver consistently great results, build real partnerships, and make your clients’ lives easier, they stop shopping around.
They come back to you.
And that steady flow of repeat business means you’re not constantly chasing new leads.
Referrals, Reviews and Retention.
The 3 R’s that will lighten the load on your BD and help you build a predictable pipeline of clients and candidates much faster.
